Effect of a New Citrus - Fruit Thinning Agent , Figaron , on Rooting Cuttings of Certain Ornamental Species

Abstract
Figaron (a new Citrus thinning agent) was experimented with NAA to see the effect on rootings of Helianthus annuus hypocotyl and greenwood cuttings of Forsythia koreana. The results obtained thus are briefed as in the following compendia;
1. Figaron with proper level and treating time had a promotive rooting influence on the number of roots appeared and rooting area, as much as with NAA.
2. The rooting promotion could not be expected if Figaron is treated with foliar application, but did only if treated with the bottom dipping.
3. Physiological environments which improve rooting cuttings, such as a proper light intensity, also improve the rooting effect of Figaron.
The promotive effect of Figaron on rootings cuttings of these plants is most likey due to the auxinic activity it possesses.
